As you can see I have been a little bit slack about keeping my news updated. All I can say is that I have made lots of art instead!!!! Have been playing with some new supplies I got for my birthday (including a colour laser printer) and creating art. Have made some bookmarks, chunky pages, inchies, twinchies and ATCs of course. Lots and lots of them. Have added a few to my gallery so check them out. I will try and write more often.
AS you can see it’s been a while since I have let you know what’s happening. Things have been very hectic at work with rewriting programs, exam marking and repot writing as well a just existing!!!! Have been creating a few things here and there and will update my gallery this weekend as well. Have just finished cards for a ‘Fun & Funky Cat Swap’ so thought you’d like a look. I used some lovely Laurel Birch Fabric to make it.
It’s been a while since I posted any news. Well our new ATC site is up and running - just have to get the IT expert to show me how to put the new link in and take out the old one. Have been busy at school - four senior classes is quite demanding - but rewarding. Bought myself a drawing tablet at the weekend and have been playing with it over the last couple of days. I made two digitals ATC’s for the Grandparents Swap and it was great to use - will explore its other capabilities as time progresses. The card here is my grandfather
It looks like my favourite forum is closing down - the news was pretty sudden but it looks like a new & improved forum will be up and running in the next couple opf weeks. It has been a great place to trade and to makew friends from all over the world. Am working on some swaps that are still happening ( about 10 of them!!!!) including a layout challenge one & a swap based on Pompeii.
I have had such fun last night and today with my art work. I finished an Oriental swap and decided to go digital with my ATC for the Pointy Hats Swap. Am now working on my cards for the Colour Themed Swap - have to make two cards that are red, blue, green, yellow & pink. Am using acetate and printing onto it and then working with my background. Will upload the pics when they are done.
It’s the end of the first week back at work and it has been BUSY!! All my classes are lovely - especially Year 9 - so it’s shaping up to be a good year. The only downside is that I have less time to spend on creating but I will certainly make some time. I finished my Button Fairy swap cards last night - I think they are really cute. Am about to work on my cards for an Oriental themed swap - one of my favourites.
Have been busy honing my photoshop skills and I created digitasl ATC’s for the January Pick A Theme Swap and am very pleased with the results. Back to work on Tuesday so less time to create but am making the most of today and tomorrow!!!
I have been busy working on some digital atcs for a swap entitled ‘Let Them Have Wings’. I have so many great backgrounds and images on the computer so I thought I would have a go. Clint assisted with some technical advice and showed me how to do a few things to create certain effects. Now I have to keep at it so I don’t forget it all!!!. The picture here is one of my grandmother taken when she was about 2 years old. Clint has now transferred my gallery so that it matches the rest of my site. Just click on links at the right to go to check out all my creations
Hope you like the new look to my site - am a big fan of purple!!! Spent some time yesterday cleaning out my filing cabinet at school and have brought home my folders to sort out so I am ready for when school starts. I have completed about 10 swaps in the past two weeks including one using book pages - I scanned some Winnie-the-Pooh pictures to use. Have also made some circle journal pages as well.
Well the new year is six days old and I have been very busy making cards. Have completed my ‘Taste of the Orient’ cards - made tiny kimonos out of yuzen paper.
